Both the size and texture of this rustic pot are better matches for the restyled tree. By lowering the rootage in the pot, the flaws are now underground. In a few years, the large branch cut midway down the cascade will have healed. The raffia-wrapped branch will settle into position and no longer need large copper wire. Old needles will be removed and the soil surface dressed. Then it will be ready to show off.
